hi there,
I got AOR ON 17th dec 2018.
I was requested additional document on 29 jan 2019.
After that on 19th feb 2019 I passed the medical exam.
The additional document was uploaded on 1st of March.
And since then I m at background check which says,
“We are currently processing your background check. We will send you a message if more information is required.”
Now, my question is, how long does it take to process the background check?
And what goes on in the background check?
I am getting anxious over this, because when it’s not moving it sends a message that something is wrong.!

Hi,
My application was in Local Immigration office in British columbia in the last week around may 22nd.
And now when I made a case specific enquiry again (may 28th), they said that now my application is in Ottawa (CPC - O).
What does it mean that my file is transferred from British columbia (Local immigration office) to Case Processing Center Ottawa??
Note: My background check has not yet been started(More than 6months from my AOR - Dec 4h 2018).
called IRCC and they told us that they can't tell us anything as it is at the High Commission Of Canada New Delhi.
I e-mailed the Visa Officer in New Delhi the automated reply came back saying that if there is processing time left then we will not be able to tell you anything.
There are only 13 days left of my file processing and it is still at "We are processing your background. We will send you a message if more information is required".
I don't know what to do. Some people get PPR within 4-5 months and mine 6 Months are almost over.
