Processing Times at Visa Offices in the Americas
30% of cases finalized in: 50% of cases finalized in: 70% of cases finalized in: 80% of cases finalized in:
(months) (months) (months) (months)
7 11 13 15
30+50+70+80 is not equals to 100, so what do 30%, 50%, 70%, 80% means?
Read it like this, 30% of all cases during this period were completed in only 7 months, 50% of all cases were processed in 11 months (this figure includes those cases processed in 7 months or less)...80% of all the cases during this period were finalized within 15 months, inlcuding all those cases finalized much more quickly.
The remaining 20% of cases above the 80% mark took longer than 15 months. We don't know how much longer.
Actually it doesn't have to add upto 100%. It just means that 30% of all the recieved cases is finalized in 7 months , 50% of all recieved cases is finalized in 11 months and so on... 80% of all recieved cases are finalized in 15 months.
As an example: for example during the specified period of 12 months, CIC recieved 100 applications.
So in that case 30 out of 100 applications are finalized in 7 months, 50 out of 100 applications are finalized in 11 months (means 20 applications took 4 extra months to process)...80 out of 100 applications are finalized in 15 months..
I hope that now it is clear to u...

Now I can understand why Buffalo is slow. Actually as per CIC website Buffalo is slowest & touches to 15 months while New Delhi/ Beijing touches 9 months to finish 80% cases.

Hi Canada dream I wasn't aware that Federal Skilled Workers are processed faster than Quebec Skilled Workers, I am a Quebec Skilled worker hence the frustration. But looking at the timelines you showed me it gives me some hope that I will be processed faster.
