My potential employer is asking if he can apply for an LMO by himself for me without a lawyer?.
What are the steps he should take?.
Any cautions he should be careful with?
The employer (and his company) are in Ottawa, and I'm still outside Canada.
It's up to your employer if he uses a lawyer or not.
He should follow the instructions on the CIC web site and HRDC web site carefully. If he's not comfortable following these instructions on his own - then it may be a good idea to hire a lawyer.
He'll need to make sure the job is properly advertised and must be able to prove that no qualified Canadians could be hired in order for the LMO to have any chance of being approved.
Thanks, sometimes there are like -between lines- points where none would know them except by experience.
So my question is for employer self-apply for LMO, are there such points or precautions that the employer need to know about (other than just follow what is on CIC website)?.
