Hey guys, Just want to let you know of my timeline. My PR card was finally approved after exactly 1 year. It got updated on the system only today (after 1 month). But I had called them around 3 weeks ago, and they told me the card was sent for production. Therefore, I would say the online system has a months delay. Here is my timeline:

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on January 27, 2015.
2. We started processing your application on March 23, 2015.
3. We sent you a letter on March 23, 2015. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
4. Your request for a permanent resident card was approved on January 27, 2016. Your Permanent resident card will be mailed to you or if quality assurance is required, made available for you to pick up at a CIC office.

Also my card was already expired by the time I applied.

Wish you all the best of luck. Be patient, it might take a year but it will finally get approved.

Congratulations approved in one year many secondary review applicants are not lucky as you.

For PR renewal CIC should improve otherwise C-6 alone will not be able to create a vote bank, because each family of immigrants have members need PR renewal.

Seems that CIC just finished processing a batch of 2nd review applicants. Read from other forum there're 2 just received PR card 2 days ago, and they both submitted the application in Feb 2015. Hope it will be our turn soon...

Seems that CIC woke up, but early to guess lets see their performance in March.

My husband had a letter dated 14 January saying he was going in to secondary review. Since then he's received the same letter in the mail on two separate occasions; so basically, he's received the same letter, dated 14 January three times??!!

I'm wondering if CIC using this indicator to decide which applicant has to go under 2nd review :

In that case no matter how much RO ones have, they still can get 2nd review easily. That might explain why so many people got 2nd review these days...

May 13, 2015 CIC sent letter for 2nd Review
Feb 29, 2015 Received new card by mail

It means they are working on March secondary review applications.

Congrats Rachel, really happy for you. This is really good news for all of us. They received my file on 14th May2015 got secondary review on Sept 24th NO NEWS EVERSINCE hope to hear from them like you soon.

We finally got our PR cards.
