Secondary review. PR renewal

I received an email from CIC today stating that my application for PR renewal was received on 6th of July and a preliminary review is complete of my application and it has been referred for a secondary review. This review will result in an additional delay.

Any idea how long I would have to wait? I am planning a trip to India in July / August next year.....

My Husband applied on January 2015 and is the end of the year and he have not received yet. sit still because they let us know that this can take 2 years. :-X

Waiting time for secondary review could be 12 to 24 months if CIC is moving same speed as now PR renewal will take years not months.

Posted timeline on CIC's web-site currently says 186 days. WOW! We'll be sure to apply one year in advance, longer if it gets worse.

I applied in Feb. 2015, and my status online is still in process. They sent me two mails in April, but I never got them. I called, and they told me one is for letting me know that they've got the application and the other one is for informing me that there will be a delay. So far I haven't received any email. I have no idea what's going on with my case. Urs is taking this long is due to the secondary review. I wonder what's causing the delay of my application...
