hey buddy, I am from houston, but i think Calgary bound, or maybe Edmonton
tell me please how is the job market for SAP consultants?
and how is the survival job situation for the initial days?
overall how does Edmonton or Calgary compares to Edmonton, in terms of living standards and security
Hello Itsbeenlongnow,
As a Houstonian, please be prepared for numerous challenges, the first and foremost being the weather conditions. The snow season has just started and right now we are experiencing -6 degree celsius. Cost of living is about 20-25% higher than Houston across the board. Gas right now is $ 1.05 a litre and multiply this by 3.8 to get price per gallon. 2% milk is $ 4.65 a gallon compared to $ 3.45 in Houston. An Indian buffet I could get at $ 9.99 or less in Houston, Here it is about 12.99. 2 bedroom 2 bath rent is about $ 1,300 a month which includes heat and water. These are just a few examples.
I am still put in the hotel as my luggage from Houston is proabably arriving today. I don't know much about SAP jobs as I am in accounting and finance and my Houston company relocated me to Edmonton.
If anyone has any specific questions, please PM me and I will be glad to try and help out.
