Hi Umair,
I have been the silent reader of this forums, myself and my husband have reached Edmonton and planned to settled here due to some known relatives on feb 10th its already 2month will be completed and we dont have any job. I am from IT field. we came from USA and really filling too depressed with the cost and everything. I was planing to go back as my H1b is valid till May2015 but is anyway I can silently keep my PR status and file citizenship? Please give some suggestion.
Hi There, Yes many time it becomes very difficult to get job, Try to find a fererence or network, Reference dosent mean a professional, My friend got reference from her Salon while hair cut. Now she is doing good in her job. Try to find some one who can refer you to any place for job beleive me it works. One of my acquantance got his job on reference of a person who once ride togerher in a bus. They talked and exchanged information and got his first survival job. So keep looking.
One more good thing you can do join some toast master club where you can find good and able people who can be resource ful to you, search for any nearest toastmaster club to your home. I have joined one and it is really awsome.
I would recommad all new immigrant to join this club. It will be very beneficial.
We are gng to land in Edmonton on 7th June 2015 ( KLM via Dubai-Amsterdam- Edmonton). Any who recently landed in Edmonton, kindly share ur landing experience.
