I want to apply for the correct visa that will allow me and my family to relocate from the UK to Canada.
Looking at the visa options available it seems that I meet the requirements to apply for an FSWC visa, however, I was wondering whether I would have to actually find employment once arriving in Canada as we have a UK property portfolio that we would use to support us whilst living in Canada.
You don’t need a visa as the UK is visa exempt. You’ll need an eTA to come by plane.
You’ll need to decide on a work permit or study permit (or potentially there are ways to stay for longer than 6 months as a visitor). For a work permit, you typically will need an offer of employment and your permit is for that employer/location. I doubt you’d qualify for an open work permit.
If you’d plan to submit your PR application first, this would be under the FSW program or potentially a PNP if the CRS score of the principle applicant is less than 470. Back of a fag packet calculation suggests you’d be around 408 assuming decent marks in IELTS, bachelors degrees and no Canadian experience? You don’t need a job or job offer to come under these programs, though some PNPs do require a valid job offer. But you get more points.
