DLI CHANGE BEFORE APPROVAL OF STUDY PERMIT INTERNATIONAL STUDENT URGENT

Hi guys,my visa was approved and since am suppose to start class by may I got issue iom and I was ask to go for sputum test which took another 3month of my time and after that I got my visa..now my school told me to reapply and when I reapply for Jan intake and I was told there are no more seat available and I should wait till November..I got a new LOA from a new school at the same province but I want to know if I need to submit the school DLI or use my previous school LOA at the port of entry and am flying by December..am confused right now...any suggestion please

You need a new study permit if you have changed DLI and never attended the school on your permit. Are you going to attend the school on your study permit?

I have the letter of acceptance from my new school..I haven't change the DLI to the new school DLI the previous school admissions letter was for May and I will attend the new school and I already paid 25% school required by the new school

You need a new study permit if you change DLI. The consequences are that you will not be issued a study permit when you enter Canada If you don’t apply for a new one.

If your application has been approved
If your application for a study permit has been approved and you change your DLI, you must submit a new study permit application with a new letter of acceptance. You must also pay all the fees for the new application.

If you want to attend the new school, then you need to apply for a new study permit.

It's your choice if you switch schools or not.

Depends where you live but expect at least 8 weeks, not including stamping. Is your medical still valid? Are you going to a public DLI? When were you planning on coming to Canada?

You would need a new LOA.

Which school are you planning on going to? You cannot change DLIs in Canada without attending the school on your permit.

If you are not changing DLI then ask the school for a new LOA. If the program doesn’t start until May, CBSA may not let you enter early.

Am coming to Canada by Dec 15 and I live in nigeria ..is my letter of introduction the same as my study permit?

No. Your LOI is not a study permit. A study permit is issued when you enter Canada based on your updated LOA from the school on your study permit. If you enter too early before your start date, CBSA can deny you entry too. If you are entering December 15, assume school starts in January.
