Maybe I misunderstood or I have posted in the wrong group.
From what I have seen, for EE CEC Inland applicants, PR process is completed under 6 months in 80% cases. Don’t know why 8 months is average. I am talking about Background Check it seems, Eligibility, Criminality and Security comes under Background Check for Express Entry.

Your in the wrong group. This is for family sponsor not ee. Either way, ss process time is same for both And it's up to a year with an average of 8.

Hi. today i recieved my answer from IRCC.

The file is being processed at the Canadian visa office in New Delhi.

· The medical examination results have expired for the dependents and valid until March 23, 2019 for the principal applicant Anwar . If new medical examinations are required, a correspondence will be sent to the applicants in due course.

· The criminality verifications are currently valid until December 2, 2019.

· The security verifications are in process for All family member.

Now we are around 10 months in SS and i don't know how long we should wait
they started our SS in July 2018 still we are waiting

What is your status of criminality or security? I am in long wait same as you, but for me i only know that my crimality is in process since July. Not sure if that would be SS as the "security" have not been initiated.

Hi, i recieved an email from them in mid feb 2019.
Medical valid untill 23 march 2019.
Crimality valid untill december 2019.
Eligibility is paased.
Security is in process.
You know our parents security initiated in july 2018 but still not finished

i read here it will take 8 months ! so 8 +17 months for my PR ????

8 to 12 months just for ss why in 17 months they haven't started yet?? Your spouse sponsorship? Did c you have an appeal or other delays ؟

OP applied through PNP and is posting to the wrong section of the forum. These processing times are pretty normal for PNP.

It is almost 6 months since i have received pre arrival still waiting for ppr..
we contacted the MP as well. They replied it is under background checks.
Can anyone tell me about background checks please ... it is really hard for me and my spouse to be waiting!
What is this background checks Any Definition ???? What are they doing exactly that it take this long ...

I am not sure what is taking so long, but WOW, already two years are gone of the time u could spend with your spouse... what country are you from?
