difference between security and criminality check... who conducts what?

Currently security screening is averaging around 8 months with v some cases finishing a bit sooner abd others can go up to 1 year

If i think BGC will finished soon criminality,eligibility,medical, but security takes more time for every applicants.
Becouse security will check by CSIS which takes more times even 1 months 3 months or more than 1 year.
now we in around more than 5 months in security sceerning still not finished.

I cant remember if it's sponsor or EE. if it's ee, isn't that worse? Their processing time is only 6 months, where sponsors is12 so wouldn't they get priority? More generally, I see 8 months for completion. I think he just got very unlucky

May I ask where the principle applicant is from? My husband is Arab, that's why I'm guessing he got sent there. Was just wondering if that's the same case for you?

My husband is from Georgia. Closest VO in Turkey. Ankara started processing his file October 31 and nothing so far. Only that they don’t need interview or any additional docs.

Eligibility - Recommended Pass.
Criminality - Under process. Submitted RCMP PCC ADR on 7th Jan, submitted after 50 days. Still under review from past two weeks. Agent said they are looking into it :/
Security - NOT STARTED.

Can anybody tell how long Security Process can take? I am at IP2 Stage. Hope this helps others.
