December visitor visa 2024 timeline

I applied for my mother's visa on Dec 24. Eligibility completed today on Jan 1st.
Background check in process

Received Ppr jan 5
Submitted Jan 8th

Biometrics letter was sent Jan 1st 2025
Biometrics done Jan 12th 2025

Really hoping all gets approved as soon as possible.
Will use tracker to follow up on the progress.

My cousin, her husband, and their daughter applied for a visitor visa (from India) in December 2024, and they received a refusal within a week. They then applied again in January 2025, strengthening their application, but received a refusal again within a week. They are not going to try again, as they are really disappointed and dejected. They have travelled to several countries within Asia but not outside of it. I am certain this is due to the current situation between India and Canada.

Shouldn’t take very long! You should get the PPR request soon.

Eligibility- Marked completed in the tracker
PPR - 20 Jan
Passport submitted to vfs - 22 Jan

The tracker also shows Visa document number and expiry date. Her ticket is booked for Feb 6th, wondering if I should postpone.

Any idea what’s the ETA nowadays?

Very unlikely that she will get her passport back before Feb 6th, it’s taking 30-40 days in India to get visa stamped.

Do you know generally at what time we get updates for TRV application progress from IRCC ? EST or IST time?
Application was applied from India. So should we expect updates in IST working time?
I still have no updates after Eligibility status.

Applied on Dec 1st. On Tracker Eligibility shows completed and BG in progress. Tracker last updated on Dec 19nth.

Got Rejection today even after the eligibility is completed.

Hi guys, I submitted on Feb 1st, by seeing above comments I created account in tracker as well. I have few ques:
1: I applied for my mother who already visited 2 yrs back when she was approved the visa so now they are providing full validity visa or just for sometime?
2: After AOR what will be the next update I can expect?
3: I don't see biometric updated in the tracker though its updated in GCKEY portal so will it be updated later on?
4: Once its approved, it will be updated in GCKEY account and tracker both?
