Emailing office is something that might work and have worked for a few. There is no harm in emailing the office and asking them about the update on oath!

Unfortunately, Background check has multiple checks involved in it and IRCC has no control over it. IRCC basically ask CSIS, CBSA and RCMP to perform Background checks on you. So, if any one of these agencies is taking time, IRCC or your processing office will not do anything about it.

What you can do is order GCMS notes and try to find out which part of your background is not processed yet. Based on that information you can contact the responsible agency and ask them for an update.

Hi , I have been requested for Finger prints. I went to RCMP and gave the finger prints. They told me that i will receive my details to my address. Did that happen to any one Or does RCMP sends them directly to Immigration?

Hello does anyone know how long it takes for Mississauga office to schedule oath ceremony?

Had my last huddle with the IRCC agent yesterday and I am supposedly scheduled for an in-person oath. However, it's been 2 days and still haven't received my oath invitation email ugh!

Has anyone who has their oath scheduled for the 28th from Mississauga office received their oath invitation email? They really like to put me at the edge of my seat hahah.

Same here, All got passed on April 12 th, no update since then. which location. Ours is from Novia Scotia.

I am finally having my OATH Cereminy scheduled on June 4th 2024.
I applied online on December 18th 2023. got the AOR on January 4th 2024.
Passed my Citizenship test on February 2nd 2024. i got everyting completed (except ceremony on May 2nd) today, i got the update online today for the ceremony.
Good luck to people who are still waiting.
FYI: My case is processed from Montreal office.

Congrats. I know you have been waiting patiently seeing other Jan and Feb applicants completing oath. Is it in Mississauga office? Since its in person you will get the certificate immediately once the ceremony is done.

Thank you Yes it is in Mississauga Office. In the notice, it says if I opt for e-cert, I will be getting an e-cert once they confirm. Will I be getting a paper cert immediately despite of that? (Definitely not complaining just chose e-cert in case I ended up getting a virtual oath)
