hi, please someone advise.
Sponsor - Canadian citizen
PA - Indian citizen (living in India)
Sponsor went to India to get married.
My question is along with Marriage certificate will I have to provide any other document as proof of marriage or Marriage certificate will be acceptable. Thanks in advance
I'm not sure if we are talking about the same thing, my post was a requirement in order to get a marriage licence and the declaration is required for a Canadian Citizen getting married abroad because Canada doesn't have a centralized country data base of marriages, only provincial.
As for CIC I am sure the original marriage certificate is acceptable unless there is a specific country requirement asking for more
.
hi, thanks for reply. Sorry got bit confused can you please advise me? I am sponsor (Canadian citizen) PA is Indian citizen. I will be providing my marriage certificate as proof of marriage. Will I be required to provide any other document for proof of marriage other than Marriage certificate. I don't have any "declaration as a Canadian Citizen getting married abroad" am I suppose to provide any declaration or only marriage certificate will suffice.
I don’t know if this is the right thread but I hope you guys could help me.
Any advice for Chat/text messages history that are not written in english? Is it required to have a certified translator or can I just translate it in english?
Just submitted our application TODAY! Phew what a process. Since I've submitted at the end of the year, not sure if I should be included in this group or the Jan thread since they will probably receive my package in the new year.
Either way, good luck all. I pray we all make it through with ease. <3

the marriage certificate should be good enough, however, you should check the country specific requirements in case they need something else or if you need to send the originals.
