My ECAS got updated with this, but there is nothing in my email or mail box??
What should i do?

FP and RQ requests are sent by snail mail. Test and oath invite can be sent by email or snail mail. Best to have someone check your mailbox regularly.

RQs and QA is not - it is only snail mail so far.

most likely it is FP. It will take upto 5 days to get to you. It usually comes from St clair office toronto.

It did not show the usual status but instead asked me to update the address for home and mailing

Is this a sign that test invite is coming soon?

No. Others have reported the same. It seems ecas is broken today (for at least some people).

no email is sent when application goes to in process. You need to check it online on the ECAS system.

It is most probably finger prints request, wait for the letter to come and then send it.

Well does anybody know that what is the correct interpretation of "In Process". I have checked the explanation on CIC's website but that is so generalized. If the application comes under "In Process" it means it is complete and they have started their processing on it and dont need any further documentations etc ??? am i right??

In Process means that the initial completeness check was passed (which is when you got AoR) and the file has been sent to the local office for processing (which is when the application goes "in process"). And that's all it means.

The initial completeness check is not exhaustive, so they may find that more documentation is needed later (people have been asked for police certificates, fingerprints, physical presence questionnaires, or other documentation, all after an application goes in process).

Oh waoo. This is brutal I guess i'll have to find some one to check my mails on regular basis !
