Actually, yes. However, BC LMO processing is not so fast. In case of rosjana16, it was damn fast(may be he is lucky). Generally, it takes about 16-20 weeks in BC and as rightly mentioned by you, Alberta processing time is faster compared with BC.
For ex, I am waiting for the LMO result which was applied on April 9th (NOC - 2174 Skilled - A category). SC contacted employer only once(around May 1st). There are people in this forum who have been waiting for LMO for almost 20 weeks. I guess, the processing time depends not only on province but also on NOC.
One of them is me. NOC 2173, I'm on my 21st week now. Employer told me they are talking with the officer in charge of my file and hopefully it should be approved anytime soon.
I too am waiting for a LMO. Noc 2173, for Vancouver.
Company applied last year November 2013. Around March 5th HRDC said, the company need to advertise longer, so they filed an appeal re-applied in April 10th. Waiting ever since. Company HR said the lawyer expects an answer in next 2-3 weeks.
I am also waiting for my LMO applied last January 29th 2014. Last May my employer were interviewed and were asked also to readvertise with new job specifications on the advertisement. Until now they are awaiting contact for the interview. Anything has an overview on what will happen to the application since the TFWP program was reformed? Will my employer just wait for it or they need to re apply with the LMO renamed as LMIA and with the new application fee of $1000 from $275 which is said to be effective immediately as was posted and announced? Please share same case if ever. I am a live in caregiver applicant from the Philippines. Thank you.
Did your employer provide all the details what service Canada is looking for. If yes, you will get it very soon. If SC is not satisfied with what employer has provided, the process might continue for some more days.
Hi guys.
There is a change related to LMO. Now it is changing from LMO to LMIA. Also fee is increasing from 275$ to 1000$. Are there any impacts on LMO applications which are under processing ? I am worried about it .

Then expect it soon! (You should have got it by now)
You should hear it any time soon. Maybe your patience is been tested, just for a positive result.
Good luck..
