It is very strange to see that this thread does not have too many members whereas as anticipated, majority of the applicants are in this range... any idea, how many would be between 440 and 453?
Another thing to check while you wait-----passport expiry date. Makes sure it is valid for at least another year or more. If not, get it renewed. I read that someone on another thread got into a major problem because they submitted their PP for stamping with less than 6 months validity.
Good point, I had my passport renewed a few months ago for exactly that reason. My passport was set to expire in spring 17', and If I get ITA sometime over the next few draws I don't want any problems that could've been avoided.

I extend my passport for 2 years stamp and if I get the ITA this month I'll send my passport to get a new one. Is that ok with CIC since the PP number will be different ?
Do you already have your new passport? If so, I'd go ahead and update it in your EE profile, that's what I did. If not, I'm not sure what the turn around time is on your passport app, but I'm sure you'll have the opportunity to update in your profile, and use your new passport at some point during the process.

I only got stamp states "Extend for 2 years" because our embassy in Ottawa doesn't issue a new PP. I'm planing to get the ITA with this current one and send my passport to the embassy in USA for renewal. My pp application will takes 3-4 weeks.
