Quick PPR query for those who've received PPR from Ottawa recently.
Has CIC asked for anything other than a scanned copy of your passport, and if so, what?
I'm just asking so we can get everything we might need - to the extent possible - all queued up and ready to be sent whenever PPR arrives. Because, you know, waiting is boring.
i got asked for proof of income for the sponsor along with PPR...T4's, bank statements, pay stubs, letter from employer confirming employment dates and salary
And if you look up the column, you'll see that it can be quite quick (less than two weeks). But be careful with averages: some people who received PPR in November are still waiting, so the highest number of days in the column is not actually the highest number of days, and thus the actual average may be higher. The spreadsheet doesn't show the possible reasons for delays (perhaps new meds or police clearances were requested, or CIC has just dropped the application behind a filing cabinet).

Regarding COPR -- I am a May applicant, PPR Jan 18th. I have a bit of an update.
My husband's student visa expires next week, so we went to the border hoping to get a one month visitor visa until the COPR arrives.
We get there, and the border guard wonders why we want a visitor visa - in the system he sees that my husband was already granted PR status!
He said the COPR should arrive within the week, and the delay is likely due to the snowstorm in the states right now.
The border agent ended up giving husband a stamp in passport good for 6 months, he said "it would not make sense to give you a visa, because the computer says he has been granted PR already"
Good news for people who recently got PPR - they ARE coming!
