I have PR and my Gf is in India. I want to do court marriage and apply for her spouse sponsorship.
1. Is it possible to have court marriage, her name changed on passport?
I want to do court marriage and when she will be about to receive her PR and I want to traditional marriage. Please guys help me if anyone has any idea. My main motive is to bring her to Canada ASAP after traditional marriage.

You should ask this question to the New Delhi thread. Weddings in India are expected by CIC to be traditional weddings with lots of friends/family present, so if you just do a court marriage they may suspect you are getting married solely to allow her to apply for PR quicker.
Of course every situation is different, but best to check with those that have experience dealing with New Delhi VO.

Just to give you an overview, Its currently taking 10-12 months average from the time the file reaches New Delhi and this is excluding the time for the first stage of sponsorship approval.
Honestly my opinion is the officer prefers to see an "Indian wedding" since that is the cultural norm - we can go on and on about how this is rubbish but bottom line is the VO see for these as in if the couple if following the norm, both the families present and they all collaborate but keep in mind we have seen court marriage application being submitted but its highly preferred to have a wedding.
It is true what others have mentioned... fair or not, CIC likes to see the stereotypical large Indian wedding for Indian couples, especially if the wedding is taking place in India. Not having this big wedding will be a red flag to CIC.
