COPR and coronavirus

What are people whose COPR is expiring soon like mine on 1 May and who are unable to travel from India, planning on doing next? I'd sent a webform received a generic reply. I'm not planning on flying, not that we can anyway, but just want to know whether some action is required from our end now. Anyone whose COPR has already expired received any initmation from IRCC? Thanks.

My COPR expired on April 6 and I received a generic response on April 7 just confirming my inquiry regarding COPR expiry and that they would try to provide a response as soon as possible.
I guess the only thing we can do is just wait till things get better around the world as I am very confident of an extension but not sure what the steps to obtain a new COPR will involve.

Germany has introduced travel restrictions for entries from outside the Schengen area on March 17, 2020. All corresponding entries from non-EU-citizens and citizens of non-Schengen states by plane or ship will be affected. Entry will be possible for German citizens.

Also EU-citzens and citizens of Great Britain, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland and their family members will be allowed to transit through Germany to reach their home countries. The same will apply for foreigners holding a residence permit in one of these countries. Other people may be rejected entry, if they cannot provide proof of urgent reasons for their entry.

@SithLord I can see that transit is exempted:
The Federal Government and the Länder have agreed that all German citizens, EU citizens, citizens of countries that signed agreements in association with the Schengen Agreement or individuals living in Germany will be required to pass a two-weeks mandatory quarantine when they return to their residence in Germany after having been abroad for several days. The Länder are responsible for ordering the quarantine measures and implementing the decision. The proposed draft decree provided by the Federal government allows for exceptions for the following groups if no COVID-19 symptoms are given:

• Acitivities in the areas of transport, health sector, public security, diplomats, governments, public administration, EU- and international organisations.
• Employees and crews of planes, ships, trains and buses that were abroad as part of their professional activities.
• communters and business travelers,
• armed forces and police
• transit
• seasonal workers

Hi all, I had filled the webform on 6th April and answered NO to the question "Have you submitted an application for: permanent residence, student, visitor, worker".

I did not get any response on email, however, I received one response on fb messenger as under.

"Hi. You followed all the right steps by sending us a webform to let us know that you can’t land as a permanent resident right now. We’re getting all requests submitted through the Web form. If you don’t get a confirmation email, this does not mean we didn’t get your request. Yes I informed them that I had a flight on March 18 which I had to cancel due to Canada closing it’s borders for PR applicants and then the UAE also closed the airports a week later so there was no way that I could reach Canada before the expiry of the COPR.
I am confident that the IRCC will facilitate as much as possible so let’s all stay positive through these very difficult times!
