I currently work a full time job in Canada and it's been 7 months. In order to apply for my PR, I want to gain one year of experience. However, I am extremely dissatisfied at my job and thinking of changing it. I have the following questions regarding the move:
- if I go through CEC for PR, will i still get point if i have 8 months of work experience at one job and 4 months at a different job?
- is there a requirement that both the jobs need to be the same NOC code? Will i get points for one year of experience if these are two different jobs?
- do same rules apply to PNP programs for provinces when it comes to continuous work experience?

Doesn’t need to be continuous or in the same NOC. PNP-EE have different rules so read which province you are eligible for. Most are not through EE anyways.

You don't need to work on the same NOC the entire one year, however, it must fall under NOC 0, 1, 2 or 3. For PNP, ideally you would be working for the same company until your PR process is done, otherwise you would need to advise the PNP program and it is up to them to accept it or not.

thanks for responding! i read in afew forums on here that having work experience that's not continuous will make you eligible; however, you will not be able to claim points for canadian work experience. I also found this on IRCC website which talks about part time jobs and doesn't explicitly mention it could be over two full time jobs:
How to count your work hours
You can meet the 1,560 hour requirement in a few different ways:
full time at 1 job: up to 30 hours a week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
equal amount in part-time work: for example 15 hours a week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
You can work as many part-time jobs as you need to meet this requirement.
full time at more than 1 job: 30 hours a week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)

Soes this apply to foreign work experience as well? Like you need not have continuous work experience in order to claim points for foreign work ex under CEC?
