Hello I had my citizenship interview at Scarborough office yesterday, I think only you will be interviewed but your kids can still accompany you in the waiting area. I had my oath right after my interview and they gave the certificate of citizenship on the spot.

I think family members are allowed, during my oath there was another lady and her husband accompanied her for the oath. So I am assuming family members are allowed.

it was a 5 minute interview. As soon as I entered in the room, officer asked for my ID so I kept all IDs on the desk (2 passports (old and new), 2 PR card (old and new) and one driver’s license. About the questions, officer asked me about my work and if I have travelled outside of Canada recently and why. That’s all I was asked. After this officer asked me wait outside for my oath. It was a surprise for me as I was not expecting my oath on the same day. After about 10 minutes I was called in by another officer for oath and received my certificate of citizenship right away.
Mine was single application and requested for online certificate but I guess they give out the physical certificate for in person oath.
Not everyone was invited for oath right after interview, I saw few applicants left after the interview and only few were asked to stay, I had my oath along with 3 more applicants. So I guess it varies from application to application.
