Seeking Advice on 2025 Home Child Care Provider Pilot program– Gaining Experience Category

Hi everyone,

I am planning to apply for the 2025 Caregiver Pilot Program under the Home Child Care Provider Pilot (HCCPP). I have already secured a valid job offer from a private family with a stable income and a 2-year-old child.

Here’s my current profile:
Job Offer – From a private family for a full-time child care role
Education – ECA completed (foreign credential recognized)
Language – IELTS with CLB 7
Current Status – Already in Canada on an Open Work Permit
Work Experience – No prior experience in child care.

I am wondering if I would still be eligible under the "Gaining Experience" category with my job offer, ECA, and IELTS, even though I don't have direct child care experience.

Would love to hear from anyone with similar experience or insights on the 2025 program! Thanks in advance.

There is no gaining experience category. You need work experience as a caregiver with new rules which still haven’t been finalized yet.
