I am applying in spp college .my agent told me if i dont want to submit my gic then i can show 14000$ in my parents account.is this right way n please send me the checklist for spp college.

AFAIK GIC is mandatory for SPP. Let's see what others say.

Showing money in parents a/c instead of GIC doesn't make sense to me.

yes it is a rule for SPP
Proof of funds: You
MUSTdemonstrate the purchase of a special (GIC) from a participating
Canadian financial institution, in the amount of $10,000 CAD to cover living expenses for
your first year in Canada.

I asked another they said that once my visa refused now my profile is in S1 category so I can show funds for my further studies rather than paying GIC to them

well since ur visa is refused once u cannot apply under SPP u have to apply under general and in general checklist u dont have to show GIC
