guys, this is a bit off topic, but for folks who have already landed in Canada, were you given any document on landing that you could use as your "Permanent recidency" proof till your actual PR card arrived? Secondly, how long does it take to get the PR card from the time you land in Canada (I have heard it usually 6-8 weeks).
Thanks in advance.

They give you a letter document which shows your status in Canada as a PR. You'll get the letter on the airport once you arrive. After 2-3 months they will send you your PR card. You might get it in 1-2 months probably coz we wur having a canada postal strike issue and got the card in over 2 months. But you are good to go if you have the letter... you can use it as a proof of ur status.

39 business days for PR card to arrive so yeah about 2 months. I believe the landing paper you receive with visa is your proof of PR. They ask you to fill it and sign it at the airport at the time of landing; they keep a copy and give you a copy. I don't know if you can use that landing paper for traveling though you might want to check up on that.
