Enter the following information in the required given fields of the above mentioned FORM

I would suggest you go visit him and come back after 2 weeks then leave again after about 6 months and stay until he gets the VISA. Thats probably is your best bet. Just an advice, decision is yours obviously.

Medicals don't go to Islamabad from New Delhi. Medical Head Quarters are in new delhi and thats where the results get entered in their internal database. Islamabad can access those results electronically whenever they want. Yes its takes about 4-6 weeks to reach new delhi from the hospitals.

Thanks wes for your input. However in my situation would you suggest that I send my passport with the medical receipt or wait for a few weeks to allow them to enter the record in their database? Just a reminder, they asked me for voluntary submission of my passport and asked me not to wait for a confirmation letter from their end.

Well, you know that they won't put VISA on until the medical results are entered and passed and that would be on your next 'bring forward date' of your file. I say send it as soon as your medicals are done (with your receipts) so next time your file opens, if they have the medical results assessed and they will have your passport in hands to put the VISA on. Otherwise they will put another BFD on your file until they receive everything they need before issuing VISA.

well apparently I am not allowed to send PM :S can you ask him on my behalf .
I just wanna know what kind of documentation he submitted and how lonf is the actual processing time.
Thank you soooo much

HE is what he says, hope it helps:

Well if he is interested in applying for visit visa first of all he should keep in mind that his wife will not be getting trv before EID. For TRVs a normal case takes minimum 4 to 6 weeks and a case with immigration application in process could take anywhere from 6 weeks to more than 2 months.
Here is the link of documents required to be submitted

http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/pakistan/visas
/temporary_resident_temporaire.aspx?lang=eng

Make sure to provide each and everything. You don't get a visa by showing your ties with Pakistan. You get the visa if immigration officer is satisfied that the applicant will return back to Pakistan.
If you require further assistance on explanation of documents required feel free to contact

Regards

Yea you're right. That does make sense. I am also sending a cover letter addressing it to the immigration officer who advised me to voluntarily send in my passport. May be if the letter reaches her in time, she would do somethin about it. At the interview she said if she had seen my file before she would've waived the interview. May be she can help in expediting my case.

Oh and Wes another quick question, how should I send the passport? Should I send it via normal post or TCS? Also, please let me know the address, although I do have the PO BOX 1042 one, but I don't think TCS does PO BOX or does it?
