Huh?? I thought you weren't going to be request remedicals? The person is not giving you favours anymore or what?

Well, i thought so too, Honestly speaking. I am not sure if i am going to get a re-med request or not, despite of being assured/informed. Oh well! it doesnt matter. Heck i dont even know that its been an year frankly. time flew so fast, Plus, my wife is with me for quite some time now =)

I so hope that CIC will revert to revised timelines (Reduced one) very soon since chances are very bright.

Wishing you all very success and hope that very next doorbell you hear, brings something you really wants, to you.

Thats how things were. then they tightened up the visa quota, dropping it from 250K to 150K per year for all kind of immigration. with such decrease in Visa's allocated per year, it was quite obvious that processes will go down slow or the embassies abroad will have noting but to clean their windows, half way through the year. so they deliberately slowed it down, i reckon.

Now, Since Harper got re-elected, His administration took re-buffing actions by expanding annual Visa's quota from 150,000 (in 2009-10) to 250,000 (for 2010-11), and promises to expand that in future.

Results were obvious, In three consecutive quarters last year, we witnessed CIC website changing/updating timelines for spouse sponsor cases.

It was 8 months in the first place, then got 16, and now 23.

26/04/10 sent application to Mississauga
31/05/10: received clearance from Mississauga
14/06/10 : received the AOR
/09/10 : SENT PCC UPDATES AS PER CIC REQUEST
22/12/10 : PPR REQUEST

gulnawaz

Dec 10, 2009 Applied to Mississauga
Jan 18, 2010 CIC-M sponsorship approval letter received
Feb 22, 2010 CHC-ISB started processing
Mar 02, 2010 AOR received along with supplementary information form
nov 11, 2010 remedical & ppr

These two cases have May 2010 and March 2010 AOR dates and they were wrapped up before the end of 2010.

Maybe they were given more priorty based on the occupation of the sponsor.

cant be because in 2009 it was less then a year for sponsoring, why would occupation be a factor maybe the amount of taxes they paid during fiscal year 2009

yes interesting indeed, but who could be these 1800 ppl, who are possible suspects??, how could they have fraudulently obtained citizenship?? could anyone have possibly obtained citizenship by fraud??

Fruad = Fake Marriages (Mutually agreed upon; incentive = money)
Fruad = Marrying to get Citizenship (And the partner planning to divorce the sponsor after becoming a citizen)
Fruad = Getting Visa with the help of crooked immigration consultants

Theres a bunch of other scenarios, people were able to find loophole in the system before to get immigration. I am glad they were caught and hopefully deported soon.

Occupation has an effect on the priority of your application. We recently had this guy get immigration in 12 months exact. His wife (sponsor) was an immigration officer at Calgary airport.
