Hard to say. Definitely not a grey area as many go onto visitor status while waiting for other work permits/PR etc, thats probably one of the reasons why they allow 6 months for visa exempt nations. But yeah at this point with the speed they seem to be processing outland applicants it would likely delay the application if you were to fly there now.

They would have to change your visa office again. Always the possibility they issue you a RFV while in transit too

Hi everyone, I am a CEC outland applicant.
AOR: October 2020
COR: India

Recently received my CBSA notes, and the case analyst has noted the following:
"LOE states client was employed from 2017-10-24 to 2018-09-12, which appears to fall short of one year of Canadian work experience. As a result, unable to confirm one year of Canadian work experience. Review required"

Dates mentioned in my express entry profile match the documents. I was still invited under CEC.

Will this be an outright reject, or will there still be chances of it going through during the officer's review?

@legalfalcon would appreciate your opinion as well.

I see a decent number of PPRs being issued to the CEC outland applicants in the last few weeks. I hope this trend continues and we all get PPRs soon. Most interestingly, VO Ottawa is getting active now

Hey all. So after 6 weeks our GCMS notes came through. Edmonton office and 86 pages long - from what I can see not really much more information. Looks like our 260 CRS score has passed at least

Uploaded a few pages below. If anyone can give me some timeframes, or something to decipher in the GCMS, I'd appreciate it!

They're currently looking at one week prior to our AOR so fingers crossed!

Anyone who has applied in 2021 and got landed? Are they issuing passport requests only to 2020 applicants?

My AOR was June 25th 2021 and I got my PPR on october 5th. I just got back my passport last week with my PPR visa stamped since my country is not visa excempt. I'll be landing in Canada in 3 weeks, so yep they are issuing passports request for 2021 applicants!
