I called CIC Today, Asked about the Ghost Update i received on 13th October. She told me that first of Background check is completed and now 2nd one is in progress which means that criminality is passed and now Security check is in progress. You should get decision by the end of November or First week of December. I've applied on 31st May.

it depends case to case..i am personally waiting for almost 8 months already..some people are waiting for more than a year..

I want to plan a trip outside Canada, but I am waiting for my PPR. So, I have some general questions. If anyone can answer, would really appreciate that

1. After PPR, how long do they allow you to send Passport to VFS?
2. How long does it generally takes for passport to come back?
3. Once passport is back, within what time frame landing should be done?

I ordered Gcms notes few weeks ago and it said criminality in progress, security not started. So i am pretty sure security is the IP2.

Hi Waseem, our case is similar to yours. AOR May 23rd, got our GCMS end of September, eligibility/security had not started and criminality was in progress.
