Waiting as well since July 23rd AoR. MP contacted monthly for updates.

Got doc request 3 weeks ago for a background clearance from a country where I used to live when I was under 18. That's new.

Meh. Until I get the golden mail, this is just noise. My expectations from CIC are very low now. It's discouraging and disappointing as I have been in Canada close to 7 years now.

I know, some of us are in the same shows. have spent years in Canada and still waiting for PPRs..

funny thing is the Trudeau government allows 'refugees' from the first world country USA to hop on the border and get their PR overnight but us tax paying temporary resident who have been accustomed and assimilated with the Canadian culture pay the price of the extreme uncertainty and wait. smh.

I know it breaks my heart too.. I have been waiting for months.. living here for years.. and still I cannot secure my job because of this temporary status

Its kinda understandable giving people who might be killed in their own countries priority.

Ive downloaded hangouts but the cic number comes up as not valid...i'm in Australia. Any ideas? Do i need to use a computer with a vpn instead of my phone?
