Your timeline is fairly similar to mine.
I got a request to pay RPRF in early June as my AOR is late May. I had no updates until the end of July.
The status for Additional Documents has just changed from "...uploaded" to "we are reviewing ..."
I am in IP2 at the moment as the overall status says "we are processing background check"
This, however, could take several months. It has been more than 2 months now.
PPL are saying that when one has got a request to pay RPRF, it is a good sign though.
because there is no point in requesting the applicant to pay this fee if the application is likely to be rejected.
My additional document status has changed. It was "documents you have provided have been uploaded" to "We are reviewing the document you have provided" and now back to "documents you have provided have been uploaded"?

There is guy in april 2018 aor who's file rejected after RPRF request after sometime but when asked for reason he just did not said anything and when asked in details he sounded angry so i believe definately sketchy and i have seen one more guy who's file rejected next day after RPRF fees beacuse his job letter was missing the job duites, duh!!! other than that i have not seen any case , I am also worried as they have requested RPRF on 12 june but no update CEC MAY 25 AOR IP2 as my reference letter is neat and clean but my HR is not that good So I hope evverything works out for you and me and let me know if you find any case who's file is rejected after RPRF
Did anyone get any update? I crossed 100 days after AOR.
I have one question..
I have applied for CEC Express entry for me and my wife. I am a principal applicant. Can I now apply for work permit for her because Express Entry is taking too much time?

yeah i think visitors makes more sense than a work permit but also you should hear back about PR by sept or oct since it will be 6 months then. Might be better to wait but up to you.
