CEC May 2018 applicants

I am not completely sure but maybe the key is in “Last 3 years”. If you applied in 2018, last 3 years would be from 2015 on, and you are claiming points from last 5 years (2013). Maybe the experts can help.

As per CIC website, if PA has at least 1 year of experience in last 3 years, then, the file goes to CEC category. Again, circling back to the same Q, am I suppose to receive points for my past experience or not.

So something very bizarre happened today. I logged into my online profile and it said Application updated in the tabular column. I clicked to see details of the update but there were none. It still says that we are reviewing your eligibility and Background check is under review too.

What does this mean? Has anyone experienced this before?

Its been 9 months and I am still stuck at the eligibility review. This is insanity lol

Please let me know if this pseudo update has any relevance to my application.

That is a good sign. Officer has worked on your application and made some updates in the background. Just hold tight...

this is called a GHOST UPDATE
it means one of the officers opened your account and made some comments
what I assume is that, since your background check is in process, your criminality must be passed by them
for most of the people who have passed 8-9 months now, they are all in IP2 now.
call CIC and ask the agent what this ghost update is about?

I read your post from Friday and it seems like we are both on the same boat. Its ridiculous how long this eligibility review is taking. I have ordered the GCSM notes. I cant call the CIC and stay of hold for hours so I will just wait for the notes. The last GCSM notes didn't have anything in it. It was a waste of my time. But we can all just be hopeful I guess.

yes exactly. I think the first set of GCMS notes are important. I have ordered 3 so far .. LOL
I am thinking to order 4th now..
it is just wait time.. lets hope we get it soon

I feel the same. Roller coaster of emotions. At times when I see ppl in similar situation getting PPR, I feel optimistic, but as days pass by and nothing happens on my side, depression, sadness and anxiety take over. Today I feel like this :-(

i can understand what are you going through. I wish i can go back and fix the mistake i have done in my reference letter. I wish so many things in my mind but i know i cnt go back. My frnd told me its not your fault. It was in your destiny. you have to be patient and optimistic. you will get your PR when there is a time. but you know we cnt stop ourselves from having stress and anxiety.. keeping you in my prayers. I hope god will listen to our prayers.

Ordered GCMS notes in Nov. Received in Dec. Realized my file had not been touch since April.
Sent LOE with missing duties.
Requested new GCMS in January which were identical to the first ones so VERY dissapointed.
Feb 11th received a ghost update and a letter on How to get a Job in Canada (I am Inland and have job).
Finally PPR! Feb 27.
It took almost a year!
