I would suggest to order GCMS notes to be safe. From what I know, initial background check in progress is for R10, which is usually 1-1.5 months (you may refer to @legalfalcon's remarks at http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/aor-in-march-2016-good-luck-all-t400931.240.html). After this has been completed, BG in mycic will change to "background not needed at this time".
Done already. IRCC requested RCMP clearance from me and usually for people who are requested RCMP their BG stays in progress (not for everyone but for majority)
A person is in implied status if he submits an application for the extension of his PGWP before his original PGWP expire. The experience gained during this stage is counted and recognized by CIC and you can work legally in this status as long as there is no decision is made on your application. I got no legal advice in this regard, I processed my own application. Though I was reluctant on this before, but luckily I went solo as I had good knowledge in this regard plus the forum helped me a lot.
Aah ok - there was no mention of you applying for the extension before your PGWP expiry date in the timeline so I wasn't aware you did that. Congrats again on PR!

I submitted my file in 2nd May 2016 and I got IRCC requests for RCMP yesterday and I did it in the same day.
Waiting to get the paper from RCMP to be submitted.
From your experience, do you think there are more requests will come or the BG checks is the last stage?

Hi
It depends as some are getting after a some days of AOR and some almost at the end. As i got RCMP and SchA request after 5months of AOR. So its good if you got early. Its really unpredictable process.
Im here on 130 days since i applied..... Didn't get a request for schedule A. Applied using a representative and was told if they didn't send a request for one then all seems well.

SchA is not mandatory for CIC to issue a ppr for the candidate. If they see there is a gap in your already submitted 10 year personal history, they will ask you for Sch A. Just be patient, you will be there.
