Congrats! I have a question about your Implied Status - I thought this only comes into effect once you submit a new application, but it looks like your ITA came after your PGWP expired - can you confirm if you got legal advice on this? I'm just curious as I'm not entirely sure how the Implied Status works!
CEC: Inland
AOR: Feb 24
Medical passed
Background in review then not needed
BOWP application: May 27
Someone knows what happens after? Do they request your passport then when you have it back you have to cross the border and re-enter to validate the PR?
I have to leave the country early September so I'm hoping to have the PR or at least BOWP by then :/

A person is in implied status if he submits an application for the extension of his PGWP before his original PGWP expire. The experience gained during this stage is counted and recognized by CIC and you can work legally in this status as long as there is no decision is made on your application. I got no legal advice in this regard, I processed my own application. Though I was reluctant on this before, but luckily I went solo as I had good knowledge in this regard plus the forum helped me a lot.
I would suggest to order GCMS notes to be safe. From what I know, initial background check in progress is for R10, which is usually 1-1.5 months (you may refer to @legalfalcon's remarks at http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/aor-in-march-2016-good-luck-all-t400931.240.html). After this has been completed, BG in mycic will change to "background not needed at this time".
I am a silent reader on this thread....here's my timeline
