Note: The cap of 8,000 new Canadian Experience Class applications has been reached. Starting January 1, 2015, all applicants must go through the Express Entry system.
It's not posted in the right place, but is on the CIC website...
guys, please go to canada.ca/Express Entry and have a good read. I was able to find the exact info which is saying cap is closed and full already. Date modified for that page is December 1, 2014. After reading it I now have a reasonable groud to believe the bad news. However I wouldn't worry too much for applicants who applied before December.
I think it's becoming obvious that the website is going through a major update to accommodate ExpressEntry, and due to that some things that were not supposed to be published until later, are being published now.
Don't you think that if they were going to go to the effort of announcing this, that they'd announce it somewhere far less obscure than that strange place?
I said it before, but it's a waiting game. We need to hear back from the CIC in some way that isn't their call centre. I have emailed the CIO office in Sydney directly, let's hope that goes somewhere useful.
Total applications received towards the overall cap: 4,537 / 8,000
This number includes NOC B,A and 0; in other words is the total of ALL categories and not only of NOC B as the title confuses as well
"Number of complete NOC B applications received towards each occupation’s sub-cap"
So the more we search for that the more errors we find on CIC website!
May be we all understood it wrong that 8000 AOR will be issued under CEC program...
May be they count all applications that they touch is under 8k CAP (Accepted + Returned + Rejected), if thats the case then reaching 8k cap by now is not surprising...
Canadian Experience Class – Number of applications accepted
As of May 1, 2014, there is an overall cap of 8,000 for new Canadian Experience Class applications. There are also sub-caps of 200 for each National Occupational Classification B applications.
For all other NOC B occupations, we will accept up to 200 applications per occupation. Once we reach the cap, we will no longer accept applications for that occupation. Once CIC receives 8,000 complete CEC applications, we will no longer accept any application for processing, even if there are occupational caps that have not been filled.
