Hey all,
Before I start: this forum is great! - I thought I might need a lawyer but then found this, which could answer all my questions! Thanks in advance all!
Anyways, my situation is that I came here 6 years ago, studied, got my post-graduation work permit, then worked mostly as an independent contractor (which is self-employment) and as a casual worker (which is employment as far as I know - at least when I do my taxes it is!)
Hours independent contractor: 3000+
Hours casual worker: 1700+
Overall, what does this mean for me? As far as I know I have enough hours for CEC, and casual worker does count - is this correct?
Do I get any extra points for my work hours as an independent contractor? Most work was as a science technician for the government, any extra points for that?
Again, thanks in advance!
