Canadian Passport in person timeline

I think it actually might not matter where you apply your passport (or at least for ON and east folks).

I applied mine on last Tuesday from Montreal and when I check status today, I saw that it's printed and sent out from Ottawa. I also saw few other posts similar to this. And no, they didn't call my guarantor.

Hi Everyone, is there any advantage to apply in a passport office versus service Canada? I know that you can pick up in the passport offices only. But timewise is there any difference?

No. There is literally a note on the tracker stating not to pick it up until the date indicated on his receipt...

Your passport has been printed

Check your receipt for pick-up instructions
Your receipt details the date and location that you should pick-up your passport.
Your passport will not be available before the pick-up date printed on your receipt.

He was able to pick up yesterday. Pickup was supposed to be coming Friday. There was no issue in picking up early

It's in Toronto. Better you give maybe a day for that to be ready. You can call and check with them.

Received my passport today. Applied on 7/11; printed on 7/14 . Pretty fast though.

Old design; still has Queen remarks (R.I.P)

I was in and out in an hour. Opted for urgent and 10 year validity. I E waited long enough for this (decades) so that’s why I paid extra for urgent passport.

So, what's next ? What are you going to do ?

I get used to wait immigration processes too much therefore I applied to Nexus right after receiving my passport. It's waiting time is currently 12-14 months and can't wait for that like a Stockholm syndrome hahahaha
