Can I lose my U.S. visa if I lose my Canadian permanent residency?

Hi, a friend of mine who is a permanent resident of Canada recently received a U.S. visa while in Canada. Because of spousal issues, he wants to return to his country of birth but was wondering if he lost his pr in the process, if it will affect his U.S. visa?

As with any visa from any country of course a visa could be cancelled if inadmissible due to criminal or terrorist activity or specifically for the US being on a no fly list but for just losing PR status still NO.
