I submitted a webform and they got back to me. their answers is yes.
Please see the email below

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

If you are applying to immigrate to Canada, there are many immigration categories available to you. Please note that theImmigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) does not prohibit multiple applications*.

If an applicant has more than one application for permanent residence (APR) approved, the responsible office will advise them to choose the category/class under which they would like to be granted permanent resident status.

Once permanent resident status is granted, any other pending APR should be withdrawn and the applicant notified.

*For example, you may apply simultaneously for two different streams in the economic class (e.g., Federal Skilled Worker Class and Provincial Nominee Class).

Furthermore, we verified the information on your file. We can confirm that you have created a new Express Entry (EE) profile and have been accepted to the EE pool of candidates.
so did you create another GC key account?

Hi,

Thank you for your information.

I have a question on this topic. I have got passport request email on my EE-CEC account.

I applied paper based PR application-through PNP while my EE-CEC is in active. CIC received my paper application two weeks ago and created application number. Now, CIC emailed me to send passport to Ottawa while they didn't update my MYCIC account on my EE-CEC application. It is still showing in process.

So, In this case, do I have to withdraw my paper based PR-PNP application before sending passport to Ottawa or Should I withdraw after getting passport and landing documents?

I am looking forward for your reply.

Thanks

I think CIC will automatically withdraw other application after one of the application is approved.

Hi guys, please I have a question on this topic as well. I have submitted my full application for PNP on paper based applications, though I'm yet to get the letter from manitoba precisely Brandon. I was told it can take forever or 19months.
Can I still go ahead and create EE profile? If yes how do I go about it?

HI There,
I am in same situation as you were before.
I have PNP application in progress since august 2019 and waiting for PPR.
I have also received the CEC ITA, do i need to withdraw my PNP application before submitting CEC application?
or if 2 application go in parallel, shall I mention same UCI which was mentioned in PNP application?

Thanks in advance!!

Hi everyone,

I have same question. I had applied for PNP and my express entry profile under CEC was in the pool. After applying for PNP and it was in process I got ITA for cec. I have not including my wife in that profile because of the points. So I accepted ITA and submitted all the documents. After submitting documents I got PNP approval. What should I do now? Please help me, if I can make another express entry?

When you are applying for the pr via CEC what answer did you give for the question 'Have you previously applied for the permanent residency?'
Since the PNP application is separate one I said no. Will it be a problem? I have my OINP application and CEC in process.
So did you say - Yes or no, i am in same situation
