I have 2 PR applications in progress at same time:
1) Express Entry CEC - Final Decision date visible and COPR number generated on tracker/all statuses completed but no email yet for portal. AOR August 25 2023
2) RNIP (Sault Ste Marie): Medical updated to complete AOR November 22 2023.
When one of those 2 gets finalised, do I have to do anything on my end to withdraw one application OR is it automatic? Will IRCC ask me to withdraw one before making a final decision OR 1 of these will be finalised and other one will be withdrawn automatically?
Once a final decision and COPR has been issued for one of the streams, the remaining one will be cancelled by IRCC (only the applicant can withdraw). No need to do anything but if you want to make sure, you can always submit the request to withdraw via webform. Again, COPR must be issue for you to get PR.
Hi Divbhatia2503
Once my Express Entry profile got approved, I received a correspondence from the visa officer processing my RNIP application. It was a pdf letter asking for me to send them a typed document with my signatures stating that I have received PR under a different stream and that I'd like to withdraw my RNIP application from further processing. All applications are tied to your UCI hence they were able to find my status has already changed to PR. They refunded my Right to Permanent Residence fee (around 550 in May 2024). After two weeks, my GCkey for RNIP application changed to Application Withdrawn.

Hi @hershii77 , I have a question. Did you use same GCkey account for both applications? or you used different email addresses and GCkey accounts?
I have an EE profile with an email and I used the same email for PNP PR application (still waiting for AOR). So can I have two PR application under same GCkey account?
