What's your nationality? That matters... while entering U.S
You need to apply via U.S Consulate General in Toronto for an American Visitors visa, unless you are a Canadian citizen who don't require a visa for most non-immigrant entries (i.e. as visitors, temporary workers or students) or a citizen of those countries (such as Western European countries/E.U, Australia, NZ, Japan etc.) which comes under American visa exempt countries for a visitor and/or other non-immigrant categories.
Check U.S consulate websites for more details. http://toronto.usconsulate.gov/
But. I'm surprised.. that you studying and living in Toronto for past 5 years... should have obviously known by now... that you need a visa to enter U.S or not...if not before on the basis of your original nationality.
Hi my background would be Indonesia. I know it requires visa to visit US. Recently I was told by my friend that I can just get and pay the visa at the border instead of applying through the Embassy in advance. So if anyone has any information about this please let me know. Thanks.
