Applied : 2015 March 16

Received : 2015 March 28

In Process : 2015 June 22

And the frustrating part is it's still in process

And there is no change of being transferred to local office or so

you know today i called cic

they said they are just looking over the file they don't have any more authority to go throughout the file

that is real sad

even for pr they said that

Dear Friend,

Your frustration is valid. But imagine people who applied between 2012 to 2014, they were forced to wait till mid of 2015 for approval. Even after such terrible wait, unfortunately some files were rejected on silly excuses, as judges are busy to review the files etc.

On brighter side, candidates applied in 2015 are much better off than previous years, at least things are now fast moving, stay positive.

Called cic learnt something new people who applied in March 2015 that will be routine application

Their file will be in the old system

And those who did after March will be 2 years

To us from downtown specially who applied in March 2015

The timeline is 2 years for processing :S

Or it can be from anywhere in toronto who applied on March actually

Seriously? You mean for the people who applied in March 2015, they will have to wait for 2 years??? But you also said they are in the old system?

yes , the cic caller agent said that and you can call cic and check too they also said last 2 months they have been advised not to go through

the file when the clients call as a result you will notice the waiting time to reach them is less just call them and say like you submitted your

file this march or so

they will say before 12 months they won't be able to to look into the file and if you insist they will hang up

so basically i tried and found one woman she took my case file number i requested her and she said for applicants applying before April

2015 it would be 12 months or 24 months then she said i am in the march batch so the routine time is 24 months normally

Ok, that's like a normal note. But actually a lot of applications after March have been processed and maken with a decision, like from Vancouver. So the note really doesn't matter.
