I have just received this letter from Buffalo stating that "they have completed the initial assessment of your application, and expect to finalize your application without a personal interview."
I am kind of down because I was expecting my passport request and I just got this letter. But at least I know it's on the right track. Do you guys know how long it takes to get a passport request after receiving this letter??
CIC is working to closely manage arrivals in Canada, so that we meet, but do not exceed the immigration levels plan set by Parliament last fall for 2011. Since we have larger inventories than room within the immigration plan for admissions to Canada, we must stagger the review of applications throughout the year.
We do not anticipate that we will begin to process federal skilled worker applications from September 2009 during the current calendar year. If we are able to initiate processing earlier, we will contact you.
i paid my RPRF in Jan 2011 through a certified check from my bank (and mailed it to Buffalo)

@ alylosan ... this is strange ... I got this letter along with RPRF request etc BEFORE the MR ... i got this letter in Jan 2011 ... MR in May 2011 ... in your case it's the other way around ...

I sent my background check a long long time ago. I think its going to be a year soon. Then I received my medical request march 10th. I did the medical and it reached Ottawa April 19th and I just got this RPRF letter 4 days ago. This is confusing. Maybe they sent the RPRF letter before and it got lost?? I really don't know. But at least I know it's on the right track so hopefully I will get my Passport Request soon.
I completed my medical examination on March 25, 2011. It was received by the visa office on April 06, 2011. On August 10, I received an email from he Buffalo VO stating that my file was transferred to Seattle. I am now waiting for the PR email, hopefully sometime very soon. Good luck to all of us waiing patiently.
