i got an interesting piece of info from this forum lately ...
if our security checks are taking longer than usual we can contact CSIS directly (through fax) instead of a case-specific enquiry or CAIPS
CSIS would give one of 3 standard replies:
1- your case was never recieved by CSIS
2- your case is pending ... cannot say how long it'll take
3- your case cleared the checks and we have reported back to CIC
the reply is however by mail and takes minimum 30 days ...
(NOTE: if it's the first reply that means our case was never forwarded to CSIS but it might've been forwarded to other offices like CSBA, Interpol, FBI, etc, etc, etc ... but my guess is that for standard cases the main bottleneck is CSIS and within that the main bottleneck is our home country if it processes cases very slowly)
Yes, photos must have a printed date in the back, it is very important for them.
I have also noted my eye color and height just under the stamp from the place where i did my photos.
Guys this "printed" date thing is what? can I just write the date behind the photo or does it have to be printed by the photography equipment?
can I get this printing done through wal-mart photo printing service? cz what I used to do is take my picture with my digital camera, do some processing, and have it printed by Wal-mart
I am July 2011 - Buffalo applicant. I got my PER from CIO on 21/9/2011.
Can you please help in understanding Buffalo applicants time line to plan my PCC
1. I noticed all 1122 - Buffalo applicants (Post 7/26/10) took 5 months time from "PER-CIO" to "Medicals, PCC, RPRF request date" - is that correct?
2. Is Buffalo VO issues "Medicals, PCC, RPRF request" directly without 2nd AOR (RBVO)??
I have seen on this forum that it is better to send the passport via FedEx, do we also send a prepaid envelop for the return and how is it done? What do I request for exactly once at the FedEx office? Please help!
@ X-Brklynite ... thanks for the reply ... I guess I'll do the same this time when I get PPR (still waiting)
@ noelisa ... I read your posts on other threads that you got PPR on Sep 22, congratulations
So now all the people involved in this thread have received PPR except me ... ... I hope I get it soon ... Today it's exactly 4 months since I did my medicals
