After some reading, I have decided to conclude that address update/diappearance in eCAS is NOT a (reliable) predictor of a progress of file. Disagreements welcome !

my application was received by Buffalo office in Nov, 2010. No news ever since.
same as you, I also have a CEC application which was sent in a month ago. Let's see which one goes faster...

mine changed to inprocesss, but the details are still rvbo and the last caips notes i got still showed nothing was done with the file yet.. not even paper screening...
really need to have my papers by summer this year, cant take more of this nonsense..
anywho now i have a CEC application too.. so pinning all my hopes on that , not on this FSW application anymore.. any movement on this case i'll take as bonus, but not expecting much to come out of it..
this whole process is just too random for my liking.. some people get it super easy and quick, the rest of us sit and twiddle our thumbs..
sadness.....

All the other VOs like LA and Detroit are working very fast. almost everybody who did medical in early December have already gotten PPR. just Buffalo is still pretty slow. if miracle mirror give me a chance to just ask one question, I probably without even thinking, will ask " why Buffalo is slower than the other VO in the States

From my personal experience, I can't say LA is fast. My file was transferred there from Buffalo on November 08, 2011; no news since then. I don't think they even opened my file. My online status still shows RBVO.
