From my personal experience, I can't say LA is fast. My file was transferred there from Buffalo on November 08, 2011; no news since then. I don't think they even opened my file. My online status still shows RBVO.
I know somebody got PPR from Buffalo yesterday. she filed at Sidney N.S. Lately February 2010 and got MR November 16 2011.I think that's a good news. because that means Buffalo still working on pre-June applications.
look forward to more MR and PPR!
if I have to continue to apply under CEC or now to wait and watch!!
ppl please advice, I got married last month and i have a fsw application in process. I am thinking of not adding my wife till I get medical is it ok? or should I add her asap for any reason!!??
you should apply her immediately. I just got married & now i have send my wife's application together with the other docs that they asked for. I received MR 2 weeks after i got married. In any case you should inform CIC regarding marital status.

I got police certificate request from NY office today. But they also asked for IELTS within 60 days. I provided a written proof instead of the test score when I submitted the full package in May 2010. I have a master degreee from a US university and worked 6 years in US.
I checked the IELTS website, there's no seat available for Jan or Feb. Even I registered now, Mar. 10 is the earliest date, so there's no way I could provide a score to them within 60 days. Any advise on this? Should i write a letter to them to explain and ask for an extension? Anyone knows the email of NYC office? You help will be appreciated.
Who knows why buffalo don't process or transfer any new applications any more recently? They are only working on the applications whose 1st AoR date is approximately before June 2010. They already haven't transferred the new applications or put them in process for a quite long period.
