hey, because of Biometrics, i have to extend my work permit, if i apply for it and can i continue to work for my employer or need to wait for extended work permit

There are close to 500 service canada accross country, it should be fairly quick serving those applications

IRCC sent BIL on APR. 24, I don't know why it took so long to get BIL but I'm waiting for biometrics as well

Maybe you are right. Yet, assuming 250 Service Canada offices offering biometrics at 15 appointments per day it will result in 3750 per day or 18750 per week. In one month approximately it can be sorted out.

why is not yet updated in the website.
I called my Lawyer and they are telling me until is updated in website dont take it into consideration and on the other side COVD cases are rising.

Perhaps your medicals were late? If I am not wrong, you get your BIL once the medicals clear.

Anyone got a call from service canada for biometrics yet? I wonder why they haven't updated the website and on automated call message it says they have already begun making the calls

Hi folks, I am living in Canada and submitted my application for PR in July 2020, then received the biometrics collection letter today, Sep 14, 2020.
However, it seems all biometrics collection points are currently closed in Canada.

Sorry for asking, but I am totally new in this forum. What should I do? Just waiting? Is it possible to get PR without biometrics?

There is a backlog of 6 - 7 months of applicants waiting for biometrics, unfortunately. You will need to wait now, and check regularly the IRCC social accounts & pages.

You have to give your biometrics unless otherwise announced - which kind of sure now they will not waive it.

only 58 service canada offices offer biometric services.
