Hello there...good for u, got ur OWP visa...just got an email yesterday for my OWP application. They required me to submit study permit application for my 11 yr old daughter and temp resident visa application for my 4 yr old son....anybody experienced the same situation w/ me?
5+ years need a study permit, under 5 need TRV (visitor visa) so you have to fill in the applications. you have nothing to do but fill in the applications... it is easy... go ahead
also note depending where you are from they may ask fore medical check before approval your OWP and other visas for your family.
For your information about ,medical , if you already done in WP or other permit.
Question : Do I need a medical exam to apply for permanent residence, if I've already had one for my permit?
AnsYou may have needed a medical exam to get a work or study permit, depending on where you have lived. This medical exam would have ensured you posed no health risk to the Canadian public.
However, even if you had a medical exam previously, all applicants for permanent residence in economic categories must have a medical exam to ensure:
they pose no health risk to the Canadian public and
neither they nor a family member will place too much demand on Canada's health, education and social systems
and here is another link, pls read ymv post. The embassy is incorporating the medicals for owp and pr:

PR medical has must , that guy has done the PR medical , that y the other medical exempt for WP. "all applicants for permanent residence in economic categories must have a medical exam to ensure"

Maybe there are more test (in blood, urine, in organ, in body etc) in PR medical than OWP medical.
I just dont see the logic that if it overlaps in embassy office, why they will ask applicant to subject to medical twice in row if the test are the same?

Hi Kashifm,
You may update my status. Got RPRF and MR for my PR application.
Punjabi,
Only my dependents (2 kids and wife) were asked for medical because embassy said i have active medical for OWP. Notes in the email said they will assess further test is necessary. I got only 3 medical forms, nothing for myself.
