Dear XY,
I regret to inform you, that we haven't received any letter or email from CIC about the file transfer. The delivery notification proves that we sent the application to Vegreville, and the address on the letter of acknowledgement from CIC proves that it has been sent for processing to Mississauga. Unfortunately, CIC doesn't provide any further detail about the application, nor for the sponsor, neither for the applicant, before the processing of the application is finalized. Please feel free to contact CIC on our behalf. Our personal data are the following:
.........................
In addiction I would like to draw your attention to two pieces of information.
BC MSP and BC law don't require the application to be "In Process". BC MSP requires that the application “has been accepted for processing”, while BC law require that “the person has applied for permanent resident status”, and common requirement that “the application remains active”.
Also, the available information about CIC's process (Explanation Table, Glossary and IP2 Manual) clearly state that once an application has been received and was reviewed for all the minimum requirements, than the processing of the application is actually started and the sponsor may get an Acknowledgement of receipt, what we received on May 2, 2014.
I got an answer. In sort, they can't approve me unless I show something that has a writing "In Process". According the agent both BC MSP and BC law require that the application be "In Process". I can appeal to the Ministry.

But we've looked at the text. Where does it show this requirement? It makes no sense.

I printed out and sent them what they write on their website. I don't know what else could I do. Appeal, of course, but what else can I write? "Learn to read with comprehension"?

That actually made me laugh because, yes that's what they should do.

They are wrong, fight them all the way, good luck
Just to keep you posted, we went to the MLA's office yesterday, talked to a very nice and helpful guy, signed a consent, so from now on they will deal with our case. They will first contact the MSP by phone, try to arrange the health coverage, if they do not succeed, they will contact the MP and try to put pressure on CIC to give something more about our file, if CIC doesn't give (a s..t), or the MSP is not happy with what they get, then the MLA's third step will be the appeal to the Ministry.

If my spouse's MSP is through his employer per a union contract, does he use his human resource person to try to get me on it or do I just apply for MSP through Victoria?

It has to be done through the HR person.
Feeling confused. got AOR and went to the website for trying to get me on medical but not sure what to do. I have many of the needed documents but it seems to read that my husband would need to get something from his employer. I know he has some medical through them but it is very minimal his BC Health card does most of his medical. So what and how do we go about trying to get me onto medical. Thank you for any assistance you can give. Blessings to your day.
