background check process

Hi,
the status of my family sponsorship application says (We are processing your background check) since mid of December 2018, furthermore the application completed 12 months since 3 months, I also send them a query on the forums but no answer.. can anyone tell me if everything is okay and how long it may take ?

If you passed the one year mark then I suggest getting a hold on your mp they can ask about your application

In the notes you will only see when the background check started and dates when they touched your application. All other information related to the background check (what info they received from 3rd parties, what conclusions they made ) will be redacted.

omg is that normal

Some applicants get selected for ss (security screening) it's a more in depth bgc. It takes much longer then the normal. Right now, it's average is about 8 months for completion tomorrow will be 5th month for us. Hopefully only 3 left Lol
